Miniature Pinscher Barking
Barking at the front door
Miniature Pinschers like to bark, and even though it’s a small dog, the barking can be very annoying. What should you do when your Min Pin barks every time someone walks by your house?
First of all, he probably thinks he is doing a good job by letting you know someone is approaching. What you should do is to praise him and then you teach him to settle down. You can say the word “SETTLE” after the initial bark. Over time (if you are patient and diligent with this training), the dog will only do a short bark to let you know someone is approaching.
Never punish the dog for barking. Instead, you should focus on teaching him how to behave by praising him when he is doing the right thing.
Tool for stop barking
If you for some reason are not able to train your dog to stop barking, here is an effective tool you can buy.
BarkOff is a clever, ultrasonic training aid that allows you to be in control of your dog’s uncontrollable barking. When your dog starts barking uncontrollably, just flip the switch on your BarkOff device, and an ultrasonic signal (inaudible to human ears) quickly catches the dog’s attention and interrupts the barking. This ultrasonic signal actually teaches dogs the difference between nuisance barking and barking to protect your family and home.
The unit is about the size of a TV remote. BarkOff is small enough to fit in your pocket, and you can take it with you anywhere you take your dog.
They are very inexpensive too – so order yours today.

I bought a Bark off and was skeptical on it working. We had been debating a bark collar but I honestly don’t need one now. I got it from the post office and put the battery in it before I got home because my dog barks like crazy when someone comes towards the door. I tried it as I was walking in the door. SHE STOPPED BARKING!! It was money very well spent. I have used it once and she didn’t bark at the door the rest of the night when someone came to it.
